What is Bright Side Night?
Dave King's Bright Side Night is one of the best traditions in our community. It began more than a decade ago when Dave King, the former managing editor of SB Nation's Phoenix Suns site Bright Side of the Sun, had an idea that felt simple and powerful. The goal was to send underprivileged kids to an NBA game and give them a night they could remember. The community stepped up right away. Year after year, fans chipped in and made it possible for hundreds of kids to experience the energy of a live game.
That spirit has carried through every season. The event shows what happens when a fan base builds something bigger than the game itself. We work directly with the team to secure tickets. We make sure kids who rarely get this kind of opportunity can sit in the arena, feel the roar, and be part of something that lifts them up. The smiles tell the story every time.
Dave King's Bright Side Night is about community. It is about generosity. It is about creating moments that stick with people long after the final buzzer. When you give to Dave King's Bright Side Night, YOU help make that happen. You help send kids to a game they will talk about for years. You help carry forward a tradition that reflects the best parts of who we are as fans.
That is Dave King's Bright Side Night . A night built on kindness, powered by community, and made real by you.
